Farmland prices reached an all time high during the first half of 2011, as land availability failed to match growing demand, says the latest RICS Rural Land Market Survey H1 2011.

Chartered surveyors estimate that the average price per acre increased to £6,115* during the first half of the year, reaching all time record levels for the second consecutive period.

TO RENT OR NOT TO RENT??

New tenant demand has once again outpaced the supply of rental property in the three months to July, as many continued to turn to the lettings sector, new data from the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (Rics) has shown.
